SDSU CCEE — Design Day is the capstone showcase for Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering seniors. Student teams present the culmination of their year-long capstone projects — from conceptual design and modelling to prototypes, field tests and construction plans. The event connects senior design teams with industry mentors, faculty, and local employers for evaluation, feedback and recruitment.
What is SDSU - CCEE Design Day?
Design Day celebrates student engineering design and problem solving. Each team presents a real-world project that addresses engineering needs — site design, structural retrofit, stormwater management, construction planning, environmental monitoring, or innovative materials and methods. Projects are judged on technical merit, constructability, sustainability, and presentation quality. Industry judges provide mentorship and employers recruit talent directly from the showcase.
